The first step in creating a healthier digital life for your child is to understand the true negative effects of technology. One of the most important things to us at The Mindful Screen is providing accurate, credible, and clear information on the harmful effects of children’s reliance on screens. Out of the many consequences of digital dependency, we have found that an overuse of technology hinders a child’s cognitive development, reduces social skills, and negatively affects one’s mental health. We encourage parents to look at each of these arguments and educate themselves, so that they, too, may realize the change that must be made in our society.
